Meagan Good Is Being Ultra Positive During Divorce! (And We're Happy For Her)

Fans were shocked when Harlem star Meagan Good announced her divorce from Hollywood producer husband DeVon Franklin in December 2021 in a joint statement posted on her Instagram account.  In the heart-wrenching caption of the post, Good said, “After much prayer and consideration, we have decided to go into our futures separately but forever connected. We celebrate almost a decade of marriage together and a love that is eternal. We are incredibly grateful for the life-changing years we’ve spent together as husband and wife.” There’s no one at fault, we believe this is the next best chapter in the evolution of our love.” After 9 years of marriage, it’s definitely been a momentous chapter in the 40-year old actress’ life - however, things seem to be going great for Good as she navigates through her post-divorce life in 2022, we’re definitely happy for her.

Appearing on The Real just recently, Good commented on the positive impact that the many “transitions” in her life have had on her so far. Good said, “It’s been amazing, like so many transitions. Projects that I prayed for, just health transitions, just taking a moment to really take everything in and get myself, my spirit, my soul ready for 40.” True enough, there have been many changes in the Hollywood actress’ habits as she enters the mid-life phase, from cutting back on alcohol, forming a deeper relationship with her spirituality, and focusing on therapy, there are a lot of things that Good has had the opportunity to work on during this stage in her life.

Self-care is definitely on the top of her list as she shared a stunning post on her Instagram account - showing off her fit body just weeks after publicly announcing her split with Franklin. In the caption of the photo which seemed to quote an unknown author, Good wrote, “Be proud of how you’ve been handling these last few months. The silent battles you’ve fought. The moments you had to humble yourself, the times you’ve wiped your own tears. Celebrate your strength.” We’re excited to see what the next chapter holds for Good and things have been going up for the celebrity so far.
