The ongoing turmoil in the Middle East caused by the terrorist attacks on Israel led by the militant group Hamas is an unfortunate scenario for everybody involved. Thousands of innocent civilians and bystanders have lost their lives in the conflict between Israel and Hamas — and tensions are showing no signs of slowing down.
The Israel-Hamas conflict escalated when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared war against the Palestinian militant organization after Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel — going on record to be one of the deadliest assaults in the country in recent times.
Obviously, the war has also made its way to the Internet. Many users have shown their shock and fear over the rising friction in the region. And of course, everyone has their own reaction to the Hamas attacks.
Some have shown their support for the militant group, believing their attacks to be justified, while others have shown their support for Israel which is currently embarking on a military campaign to repel the attempted invasion of Hamas.
Many celebrities have also voiced their support for Israel on social media. Stars such as Gal Gadot, Natalie Portman, and Madonna among many more personalities have shown their solidarity with Israel after the attacks.
Gal Gadot, an Israeli actress who has also served in the Israeli Defense Forces, made an Instagram post with clear support for her home country. She wrote in the caption of her post, “I stand with Israel you should too. The world cannot sit on the fence when these horrific acts of terror are happening!”.
Natalie Portman also made a similar post of her own, she wrote, “My heart is shattered for the people of Israel. Children, women, and the elderly have been murdered and abducted from their own homes. I am in horror at these barbaric acts and my heart is pounding with love and prayer for the families of all affected.”
On her Instagram account, the hit musician Madonna shared a pro-Israel video on her account, with the caption saying, “What is Happening in Israel is Devastating. Watching all of these families and especially children being herded, assaulted, and murdered in the streets is Heartbreaking.”
She signed off her post by writing, “This Tragic attack will only cause more suffering for everyone. Let us all Pray. For Israel”. Other superstars such as Dwayne Johnson, U2, Amy Schumer, and Kris Jenner have also shown their support for Israel on social media.
