After months of speculation and anticipation, the superstars Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez finally tie the knot in none other than the grand city of Las Vegas. The “Gone Girl” actor Affleck and the “On the Floor” hit maker Lopez were previously known for being engaged over 20 years prior in a paparazzi-filled romance.

Nicknamed by the media as “Bennifer”, the relationship between the two lasted for over 18 months with the pair starring together in movies during this time namely Gigli and Jersey Girl. However, things would come to a resounding end after the couple announced their split in the first half of 2004.

Now, decades later, in 2021, Affleck and Lopez have once again rekindled their relationship. And just recently in July 2022, the two have finally married for good in The Little White Chapel located in Las Vegas at midnight. In a newsletter addressed to fans, J Lo had more to say about the recently held wedding.

With the headline “We did it”, Lopez wrote, “Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient. Exactly what we wanted. Last night we flew to Vegas, stood in line for a license with four other couples, all making the same journey to the wedding capital of the world.”

She then added, “So with the best of witnesses you could ever imagine, a dress from an old movie and a jacket from Ben's closet, we read our own vows in the little chapel and gave one another the rings we'll wear for the rest of our lives.

They even had Bluetooth for a (short) march down the aisle.”

Continuing to share her joy with the new family she and Affleck will share together as an officially wedded couple, Lopez concluded her newsletter with a heartwarming sign-off, “With love, Mrs. Jennifer Lynn Affleck.”

The romance between Ben Affleck and J Lo is not your typical fairytale story. The love shared between the couple is proof that in love, there are indeed second chances. At the end of the day, love must always win, regardless of the circumstances that surround it.
