Jennifer Hudson Now 2nd Black Woman to Achieve the Prestigious EGOT

Jennifer Hudson just accomplished a feat only 17 other entertainers in history could ever achieve in Hollywood. She became the recipient of the most coveted EGOT status. The EGOT status is defined when a person receives an Emmy, Oscar, Grammy, and Tony award. The first black woman to ever achieve this was Whoopi Goldberg.

Jennifer is now the 2nd black woman to get this award and the 3rd black person after John Legend and Whoopi Goldberg. The 40-year-old actress and singer has been known for her talent in acting and singing since her debut on American Idol.

Jennifer went on to make music and movies with some of the big names in the business, including Nelly, Mariah Carey, and David Guetta, among others. She has now made her mark in history, becoming the first-ever American Idol to be named EGOT.
