Sevyn EmmaRose Harrold is the reigning Jr Miss Cosmos International. She is currently a sixth-grader at West Wilkes Middle School. She has competed in pageants since she was very young and believes that pageants are a great way to build our confidence and speaking skills. She has held numerous titles on the local, state, and national levels and now is ecstatic to hold the international title for the Cosmos system. Sevyn enjoys the outdoors and plays volleyball, basketball, and softball. She currently dances with the junior troupe at her dance studio and has taken voice lessons since age three. Sevyn enjoys volunteering in her community and created her own community service platform called "Chris Cared". She collects hot chocolate, coffee, juice, water, and other beverages to distribute to children's homes, soup kitchens, and homeless shelters. She is proud to say her platform has donated over 50,000 beverages.
What are some major achievements or accolades that you have accumulated?
I have received the Gold Presidential Volunteer Service Award for the past four years.
I have used my platform to go to the soup kitchen and actually serve the beverages at mealtime. I want the world to see that the homeless people are people just like you and me who have fallen on hard times and that no matter what age you are that you are never too young to lend a helping hand and make a difference in someone's life.
What are the projects you are currently working on or promoting?
I work year-round on my "Chris Cared" platform and with winter approaching I've already distributed thousands of packs of hot chocolate just in recent weeks. I am also scheduled to ring the bell for the Salvation Army at my local Walmart in December.
Who do you credit for your success?
That would be my family for always pushing me to do my best at everything. Also, I am thankful for the state, national, and international directors of a system that allows each girl to work their own platform and causes that are important to them.
