Taylor Swift Concert Tickets are selling for Thousands of Dollars

Taylor Swift's upcoming tour is set to be her most successful one yet. Fans are so eager to see the pop star in action that some tickets have been selling for prices that rival those of last year's Super Bowl. It just goes to show the immense power and popularity of Taylor Swift and how far fans are willing to go to catch a glimpse of their favorite superstar. Let's take a closer look at what exactly is happening here.

On Tuesday, Swift's star power was on full display as fans scrambled to get tickets to her upcoming tour. Within minutes of tickets going on sale, Ticketmaster's website was overwhelmed with demand, leading to frustration among fans who were left waiting in a virtual queue for hours.

Despite the high prices and limited availability, the huge demand for tickets is a testament to Swift's immense popularity. Throughout her career, she has churned out hit after hit, amassed a devoted following of fans, and made history with her recent album release. It's no wonder that her concert tickets are in such high demand.

Pre Sales Tickets

Pre-sales for Taylor Swift's new tour went online yesterday, and ticket sales were immediately delayed due to the overwhelming demand. As a result, tickets are being sold on the secondary market for thousands of dollars.

Fans lucky enough to get tickets are seeing red as they worry about how they will afford to go to the show. Stubhub has tickets listed for as much as $21,600 each! This is an astronomical price tag considering that the cheapest seats at her MetLife Stadium show are $350.

Sky Rocket Ticket Prices

The ticket prices for Taylor Swift's "Lover Fest" tour have skyrocketed, with floor seats for the opening night in Glendale, Arizona, going for as much as $17,010 while floor tickets in Atlanta on April 28 are listed for as much as $35,438.

To put these numbers into context, tickets to last season's Super Bowl between the Los Angeles Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals at SoFi Stadium averaged $10,427 - with the cheapest seats going for about $7000.

A StubHub representative told CNN Business Wednesday that they had many Swift tickets selling for around "$150 with averages around mid $600" but noted that it was only pre-sale period right now, meaning "demand is at its highest and these prices will settle" once more tickets become available. They also highlighted that these unusually expensive ticket prices reflect the tremendous demand among fans eager to see one of music's biggest stars live.

Taylor Swift has proven time and again why she is still one of music's biggest superstars today. In an age where streaming services have made it easier than ever before to listen to music from anywhere in the world without having to leave your house or buy physical copies of albums, fans still flock in droves anytime she announces a new tour or project – even if it means shelling out thousands of dollars get their hands on a ticket!
